Truus Ophuysen

Biography

Truus Ophuysen is an all-round expert on European policies and senior adviser to ELIA. On behalf of ELIA, she is directly involved in European policy influencing the fields of culture, education and research. For nine years she was deputy director of ELIA  and developed European projects in the field of higher arts education on the implications of the Bologna process for higher arts education institutes, mobility and employability of young artists, and gender equality.  She was also one of the authors of the SHARE application. 

She holds a degree in social and educational sciences, held different teaching and management positions in vocational training institutions in the Netherlands and worked for the European Commission.
